**Shift:** NOC (Night) Shift; Tuesday to Saturday

**Position Summary:**
The Caregiver/Medication Technician is responsible for providing quality care to residents while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during the night shift. This includes administering medication as mandated, assisting with daily living activities, and creating a positive, caring environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Medication Administration:** Accurately prepare and administer prescribed medications to residents as per their individualized care plans, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- **Personal Care:** Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
- **Monitoring Health:** Observe residents for any changes in condition, report findings to the nursing staff, and maintain detailed documentation regarding care provided, medication administration, and any notable events.
- **Support and Companionship:** Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
- **Housekeeping Duties:** Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of residents’ living areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with nursing staff and other team members to ensure coordinated care and effective communication concerning resident needs.
- **Emergency Response:** Remain vigilant during the night shift, prepared to respond promptly to any emergencies or resident needs.
- **Continuous Learning:** Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in caregiving and medication management.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
- Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide or Technician program, with current certification.
- Previous experience in a caregiving or similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of medications and basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and assist residents in a safe manner.
- Must pass background checks and health screenings as required.
